and then things took a turn for the interesting (or: well, i’m gonna be bangin’ on your door)

So, last night I was talking to Jenn on AIM – for the first time in a few weeks, mind you. Well, remember how she was considering transferring out of Lehigh? It turns out that she just moved to another hall. Which just goes to show that God is clutch.

Anyway, I need to run so I don’t miss my third class of the day (damn this infernal sore throat!).

This is me fighting off sleep. If I just keep typing for a few more minutes, I won’t fall asleep and miss my economics recitation, which would severly rape my grade in the class.

But my bed looks so warm and my head is so heavy….

NO! Alright, this morning, I went to my Politics & Lit. class and basically dozed through the entire thing. I felt pretty bad about it, too. All-nighters should never be attempted on a day when you’re exhausted at 4:00 in the afternoon.

Hey look! I’ve been awake for twenty-eight consecutive hours…maybe I’ll break the record.

*yawn/stretch*

At 6:30 this morning, I got in the shower. I must’ve stood there for forty-five minutes – the water was so nice. And then I got out of the shower and my hall was freezing.

No, I’m sorry, Bed. I am not going to sleep with you. Not now at least.

I’m getting really good at typing without looking at the keyboard, which is crazy, because I don’t do the whole home row thing. I’m just a hunt-and-pecker on speed. Maybe it has something to do with my mad piano skills.

Why is the guy outside in his car playing Limp Bizkit? They are the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked. And their ‘music’ sucks too. I don’t understand why people like them.

Yay! An email! Thanks Lauren!

Okay, I’m leaving now. Hopefully while I’m gone Mike will figure out how we can get to Bucknell on Saturday. Because I wanna go.

i wanted to go, but now there are definitely ulterior motives involved (or: everyone around is singing ‘la la’)

Obviously, the only reason I’m awake this early is that I didn’t go to sleep last night. I think that’s number five, for those of you keeping score. I was honestly going to write my paper between dinner and sleep, but after dinner I ended up playing Worms, and then practicing piano, and then watching DVDs in Mike’s room (and also making weekend plans). Before I knew it, it was 1:57 and I had zero out of five pages written. But it’s done now.

And those aforementioned weekend plans? Let’s just say that there’s a Certain Someone going to see a Certain Band on Saturday, and a Certain Guy Down the Hall has connections with the Certain Someone’s friends who are also going. Yay – Live at Bucknell! I just need to find a way to get there, as the other car appears to be full.

Did you ever notice that wool sweaters only itch after you bring them home, not when you try them on? Not that it matters – I’m going to pass out as soon as I sit in one place for twenty minutes and forget about itching.

Family Weekend is almost over, which means that I’m shipping my mom back to St. Chuck in about ten hours. She bought me all kinds of crap this weekend – fancy headphones, a bag full of candy, enough soda to last years (seriously – $40+ worth of assorted beverages), Wal*Mart’s entire stock of Uniball 0.7mm GelRoller RTs (the pen of champions), and the only coat that could ever rival my collection of retro corduroy.

Speaking of parental units, Lawrence and his dad left for the football game at ten in the morning an it doesn’t look like they’ve been back at all. Weird.

Kevin Nealon (SNL’s longest running cast member) did a show on campus tonight. He was damn funny. Really damn funny, even. Go see him if you ever get the chance. Even if it keeps you from doing other, more important things.

Things such as homework.
Homework due Monday: four sections of calc (two are done) and 175 pages of philosophy reading (nada).
Homework due Tuesday: five pages of Poltics & Lit. writing (haven’t even thought about it).
I should probably start sometime soon if I want to avoid skipping class and then feeling guilty.

In other news, I completely fucked up my last chance at getting Jessi’s phone number (and I don’t get many chances). I was just not paying any attention, so I didn’t notice that the girl who said “hey” to me was the girl who I want to say more than just “hey” to. By the time I realized my mistake, she had already gone inside a dorm. Damn you Tommy! Damn you to hell!

I’m going to go eat my Peach Schnapps-flavored chocolate now. Goodbye.

Thursday nights are usually wonderful. Especially this Thursday, for some reason. Well, not wonderful for me, actually, but wonderful for pretty much everyone else nonetheless.

I had an overly routine day, which involved me sleeping through Politics & Lit. (a conscious decision), noodling around on the guitar, struggling not to sleep in calculus, eating lunch very late with Dan, not doing homework, forgetting dinner, running to the food court before it closed, not doing homework, making plans to go out, and finally ending up just watching Leno and Conan. Yeah, that’s pretty much the average Thursday.

Mike and I were going to go out, mostly because he knows some of Jessi’s friends pretty well and is cool enough to try to help me with my little plans. But his parents decided to fly in tonight, so he had to wait for them to call. So I watched TV, and then watched everyone else come in. No one had a bad night, for once.

Dan was a giddy little school girl; I don’t know how he’s going to sleep tonight.
Asher, Hunt, and Brian had a great time in Philly. Brian even won a prize.
Rob and Matt ditched Alpha Sig for once. Rob says it’s too dirty for him (but he’s from Jersey!).
Lawrence wasn’t crabby at all…he even fell right asleep, so now I can type.
Jeremy was hungry. And also amusing.
Touhid was excited that he got some work done (crazy Bangladeshi).
I’m still not sleepy, but oh well…

My mom is flying in at about 2:00 tomorrow…that’s right – it’s Family Weekend. No illegal stuff for me for two days.

Maybe I am tired, these paragraphs have lost all coherency.
